Day
1. Entebbe
On
arrival at Entebbe airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and later
be transferred to your Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for overnight stay.
Day
2. Mabamba Swamp
After
early breakfast you will set off on the southward road to Mabamba Wetland.
This is the nearest site for the Shoebill, Lesser Jacana, Blue Swallow,
Black-Shouldered Nightjar, Afep Pigeon, Blue Breasted Bee-Eater, Papyrus
Gonolek, White Winged Warbler. Proceed to Lake Mburo with lunch stop
on the way arriving in the evening and over night at a Camp Lodge.
Day
3. Kampala - Lake Mburo
Morning
game drive at Lake Mburo National Park which is occupied by savannah
grassland punctuated with many lakes surrounded by swamps. This is one
place you can view Eland, Antelope, as well as Zebra, Topi, Impala,
and several Acacia –associated birds. The five lakes within the
park attract Hippos, Crocodiles and a variety of water birds, while
fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the Sitatunga
Antelope and Red, Black and Yellow Papyrus Gonalek or take boat ride
on one the lakes looking species like the Brown Chested Plover, Red
Faced Barbet, Southern Ground Hornbill, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Yellow
Billed Oxpecker, African Finfoot, Black Collard Barbet etc. Check out
and drive to Mbarara town to overnight.
Day
4. Mbarara – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake
up early and drive Imaramagambo Forest (part of Queen Elizabeth Park
) visit the bat caves carry out birding along this area and proceed
to Mweya reaching in time for boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Dinner
and overnight at the Lodge.
Day
5. Queen Elizabeth National Park
Whole
day in the Queen Elizabeth National Park bird watching and game viewing
in the morning and in the afternoon ,take a boat cruise in case it was
not covered yesterday returning to the lodge for lunch and overnight
at Mweya Safari Lodge or Institute of Ecology. Among species to see
are African Skimmer, Black Rumped Button Quail, Verreaux's Eagle Owl,
Red Footed Falcon, Lesser Flamingoes, Grey Capped Warbler, White’s
and Abdim's Storks (in season), Amur Falcon, Ovampo Sparrowhawk, Wooly-necked
and Saddle-billed Storks, and numerous classes of Raptors, Vultures
and Plovers etc.
Day
6. Queen Elizabeth National Park -Bwindi National Park
After
breakfast drive to Bwindi while birding on the way arriving at around
noon. Lunch, afternoon carry out birding around Buhoma area . Dinner
and overnight at the Lodge.
Day
7. Bwindi –Gorilla Tracking (optional)
Whole
day bird watching in Bwindi Forest, OR this day you will go for gorilla
tracking taking different trials in the park. These gentle giants move
in families . You will track either family as your permits states. You
will enjoy our next of kin at close view while the young ones play in
the branches of trees. This morning you will report at the Park Office
at 7:30 am to get ready for the Gorilla tracking. Take with you lunch
boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla,
perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experience. There are now
only 600 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours
depending on the movement of these gentle giants. Spend the night at
camp Lodge.
Day
8. Bwindi – Kabale Lake Bunyonyi
After
breakfast check out and drive to Kabale while birding on the way. Check
in at Overland Camp, See Birds around lake Bunyonyi.
Day
9. Lake Bunyonyi - Kampala
Morning
boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to the Islands viewing different species
of birds and migratory birds from Europe often sighted here. Lunch and
drive to Kampala overnight at Hotel International or serena Hotel .
Day
10. Kampala - Entebbe
Morning
city Tour if time allows. shopping in Kampala city and proceed to the
airport.

Low budget accommodation facilities. We have used medium and low cost
Budget facilities . Upmarket WILL be provided on request. However in
few cases, upmarket facilities have been included in medium packages

Day 1. Entebbe

welcome you and later be transferred to speke hotel - munyonyo for overnight.
Day
2. Entebbe
Morning
bird watching around shores of lake Victoria, botanical gardens, shrubs
and swamps that support variety of species and Lutembe Beach. These
include: Lesser jacana ,blue-breasted bee-eater and localized Red Chested
sun bird being common ones.Others
include African Pygmy-goose, Hemerkop, Hadad Ibis, Crowned-crane, Long-toed
Lapwing, Grey parrot Red headed lovebird, Black headed weaver, Ross’s
Turaco. Return to your hotel and overnight.
Day
3 Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park
After
breakfast drive to Mpanga Forest carry out birding in this unique forest
and continue to Masaka branching off to Lake Nabugabo. Look for Herons,
Lesser jacana and other water birds. Drive to Lake Mburo and overnight
at Camp Lodge.
Day
4 Lake Mburo- Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning
carry out game drive Lake Mburo National Park is occupied by savannah

5 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning
game viewing and afternoon boat trip along the channel on this day will
give you wildlife yield of Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from
the boat, Buffalo linger in the shallows, and a tremendous variety of
birds grace the grasses on the channel’s edge. These may include
the Great White and Pink-backed Pelicans, Great and Long-tailed Cormorants,
Open-billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers. There
is also a Bird Observatory here, which was set up with the aim of studying
both migratory and resident birds. Since its inception in 1997 more
new species have been identified, including Uganda's first record of
the Bar-tailed Godwit. Over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute
of Ecology .
Day
6 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning
Natural walk looking for variety of birds or carryout game drive. After
lunch drive to Masaka birding on the way and overnight.
Day
7 Masaka – Katonga Game Reserve
After
breakfast, you will drive to Katonga Game reserve swamp looking for
water logged species. Shoe bill stork may be sited but it is not a guarantee.
Continue your way to Kampala.
Day
8 Airport Transfer
If
time allows you can carry out shopping and before transfer to the airport
for your departure
