Paradise Lost: This resort sits on a 54-acre piece of private land and is reputed to be the largest picnic site in Kenya. Some makuti sheds dot the shores of a dam and others are scattered on the hill overlooking Kiambu town to the east. This magnificent natural feature is only 8 kilometres from Nairobi, Kenya's capital city. To get there, you take the Kiambu Road and turn left at Sarvid. There's a big yellow signpost from where, two kilometres down a murram road, you get to Paradise Lost. As you follow a path that meanders through the wood, you suddenly find a waterfall at the entrance to the caves. The cave is from the Stone Age and boasts a breathtaking entrance. Ideal for camping, Paradise Lost has lush green grounds and security is guaranteed twenty four hours a day. School groups can forget about their class work for a while and embrace what nature holds for them at the Paradise Lost Dam. The dam is 70 feet deep but you need not worry. Professional lifesavers in life jackets are in attendance and accompany the holidaymakers throughout. For those who love fishing and who would like to give the fish eagles a run for their money, the prospects are quite high so long as it is not done for commercial purposes. 


Bird watching: This area offer unique bird sighting experience and one area you are likely to find the rarest of the central highland species or the country bird species. Early morning walk can result to an impressive 60 record of different birds.

Nature Trail: For nature lover with tree appetites this is the place to be. You will explore different species of indigenous and exotic trees which have blend well to give that cool atmosphere; you will even forget that you are in a city outcast. This area is a well preserved but lost paradise. The combination of this pristine land with other exotic tree gives a heaven to be admired by all. Water sports: Boat rides and swimming are there for your offing. You will enjoy the guided boat ride along the river where apart from having that thrilling experience you will have to enjoy the forest and nature itself. If you happen to have a child they will have swimming lessons. There is also a spectacular waterfall and you will love the climate around this area. They will have water sports play with experienced instructors. Fishing can also be done in this farm.

Ostrich feeding: This is a rare occurrence. You will have this opportunity to feed this big African bird. They even have ostrich rides that are exhilarating and a memory to remember.

Explore the caves: This is a home to 2.5 million years old caves. Here you will study bat and other nocturnal animals and birds. Geology will also be a subject to be discussed at length. Be sure to see bats in plenty if you visit this area.

Rides: Apart from ostrich rides, you will also have the opportunity to have horse and camel rides. You will explore over 50 acres of land in either horse or camel.

Children: They are treated with face painting, fun games, and other activities filled with laughter

Catering and Camping: If you are planning to visits this area doesn't worry about food or accommodation. You can have the Kenyan delicacies at their cafeteria. Kuku and Nyama Choma are there in plenty. There is a bar incase you need to have a drink. Picnic sites are in plenty and camping can be done in the most tranquil areas of this gorgeous garden.
